The 44.5 Foundation monthly food drive for the month of June was yet another emotion-filled event. The sharp rise in food prices has had a dramatic impact on many of our families who already barely scraped by with the little they have. We distributed to 60 families 5kg bags of rice, 1kg of spaghetti, and 1 liter of cooking oil each. We noticed a massive turnout of very elderly persons which is testimony to how tough these times are. After the usual opening prayers, we proceeded to donate first to the senior citizens followed by the rest of the attendees. The 44.5 Foundation pledged to visit the homes of some of its elderly recipients. The mothers thanked the 44.5 Foundation team for always coming through for the Bonaberi Douala community.
